His latest scientific work on the skin tightening effects of the CO2 laser was published in the September 1998 issue of the Journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The clinical implication of this finding is that CO2 laser besides removing wrinkles will also tighten facial skin, therefore, postponing a need for a facelift.

Dr. Younai is on staff at several hospitals on either side of town including Century City, Encino, Tarzana, and Los Robles Hospitals. He performs his surgeries either at these hospitals or at his private state of the art surgery center adjacent to his office.

Additionally, Dr. Younai underwent the most rigorous training available to become certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The importance of choosing a "board-certified" plastic surgeon cannot be overstated. Many surgeons – even those who are not specialists – represent themselves as "cosmetic surgeons." Yet, they may have taken merely a weekend course in a procedure, rather than enduring the hour upon hour of challenges that are required to become board-certified. In some states, even dentists are lobbying for permission to perform plastic surgery.
